The font is Pica Number 12

The case is also in excellent condition with no visible marks.

This typewriter was lightly used and stored in a dry closet for many years.

Included with the typewriter are the original cleaning pouch with the cloth and one brush, the original operating instructions, the original marketing brochure, an accompanying pamphlet titled “How to Get a Head Start on Success” by Bernard Haldane.  The last few pages list the features of the SM9, along with the official Olympia type styles

The ribbon is a little dry so the type is faint.  I have a new ribbon on order and will upload a new sample when it arrives.  But the letters all type consistently and evenly.

The Olympia SM9, with it’s famous German engineering was one of the best typewriters ever made and was a favorite of many writers, including Tennessee Williams, David Mamet, Kurt Vonnegut, Harlan Ellison, Jon Cleary, Sam Shepherd, and Michael Bond, the creator of Paddington Bear.
